O.K. now we are talking!!
You read about the millionaires online,the products that they move and the automated systems they use and you think yourself, could this really be true? You buy into the possibility that this could be something that you would like to pursue and you put a toe in the water by choosing your own product or affiliate campaign to promote. Then you write. You write articles online, you blog, you email, you write, you write, you write...... You wait, you wait , you wait.......
That seems to be the process described by many that I speak with. Well guys, my belief in an online career has been strengthened even further. I have read all of the testimonials about how people vacation, devote time to family or simply proceed with their daily lives and then start to see money deposited into their bank accounts.
This time it happened to me!! The Mrs. and I traveled to meet up with some family for about 4 days and while I did Tweet a few times http://twitter.com/tatumcap and briefly checked my email, I didn't have time to labor or toil over network marketing efforts at http://www.tatumcapital.com/ or my affiliate campaign at http://tinyurl.com/qbnc5f . In an effort to make a budget for the week ahead, I decided to log in to my online banking and check my balances. What was there waiting for me? My first ACH from my online efforts as an internet marketer.
Now don't get me wrong, I won't be buying that Ferrari I have on my vision board or paying off the mortgage just yet. BUT, this online rookie has strengthened faith and vision in becoming totally free from the daily grind.

FOCUS.......The Days of an Internet Marketer Can Be Full of Distraction
Man, the word for today is FOCUS.
The whirlwind I have been in lately has really put me in an awkward place. I have full immersed myself in the world of internet marketing and affiliate marketing by joining a few forums and researching as many sites as I can lately. It seems that the more I learn the more I get distracted. Information is abundant out there.
My goal when I started was to put together a way to supplement and then replace my day to day grind. It is becoming hard to form a plan and stick with it though. The more I read, the more I get distracted. Sometimes you don't have enough time to measure results before wanting to implement a new method.
The one beacon that keeps me headed where I want to go still seems to be Jonathan Budd. The support structure that he provides is invaluable. Sometimes it just helps to hear that you are not the only one that is hungry and struggling. www.tatumcapital.com is coming along nicely.
So as I move forward, I must focus. My focus needs to be on the end result not the challenges. I have a relative that is an Olympian and his constant reminder to me is always that "a hurdler concentrates on the finish line not the hurdles". My focus will be on helping others and making the finish line. My earnest goal is to become a network marketer that creates true wealth for my associates in every manner.

Moday Was Not Mundane
Today was a day of trying to remained focused. While trying to move forward with an online career in internet marketing it can become SOOOO easy to get distracted by the newest method, site or tactic.
It amazes me how everybody has the best thing since sliced bread available for you to download or subscribe to. It is my firm resolve to follow proven tested methods put in place by reputable long term mentors such as Jonathan Budd, Perry Belcher, Ann Sieg and Mark Hoverson.
My journey has kept me going and interested. The number of subscribers that are willing to share their successes and setbacks with network marketing really gives me hope in my goal to be an online success. http://www.tatumcapital.com will be one of the most dynamic tools available online for people interested in developing their online presence.

Internet Marketing Courses Have My Head Spinning! This is Challenging but Fun
Whew! What a morning. I've spent the past 4hrs fully immersed in the curriculum developed by some the guys that I have taken on as mentors and my head is spinning. This whole world of Internet marketing is new to me.
I have always been the guy who would cold-call from lead lists or go to networking events and "bug" my prospects to death until they surrendered. Long gone are those days though. The old-school techniques taught by the 3 foot closers are obsolete nowadays. In order to survive, I must adapt. AND I WILL!!
SEO techniques, Social Media Magic, Twitter, Facebook! I need an ice-cold adult beverage. Just kidding. Each day is filled with more and more exciting possibilities and I can't help being excited.

Getting Started in the World of Internet Marketing
As a budding Internet marketer the first thing I have found out is that it’s not as easy as you think it is. Everywhere you look online you are bombarded with stories of how to make millions while surfing, watching TV, playing with your kids, or otherwise goofing off. Chalk that up to effective Internet Marketing. I mean that’s what you are trying to learn how to do isn’t it?
In order to be successful at this business (and that’s what it is) you must identify how to quickly learn basic techniques that help you identify and build a market as well as captivate and keep loyal followers. There are tons of “Easy as 1-2-3” courses out there that you can weed through for weeks. There are also “Plug and Play” courses that sell you a business in a box that can make you money immediately. The downfall of most of these is that once you get your prospect to buy from you or one of your affiliates you have nothing more to offer.
You MUST practice ongoing education for your followers. This is the only way to build rapport and maintain a relationship based upon trust. Often times, your prospect will follow you for weeks before they buy. This is the simplest way of testing the integrity and value of your content. Offer free articles or advice that your prospect can derive immediate benefit from to build rapport. You may even direct them to people who are instrumental in your growth as a professional.
I ask you one simple question. Are you truly interested in learning the business and being able to make money at whatever you promote or do you want to sell templates that potentially millions of others have? Set yourself apart as a professional who cares early and you will reap the rewards for a long, long time.
Take this simple bit of advice. Identify a mentor or a professional that you trust to teach you what they know and hold you by the hand. If you are trying to identify a mentor, choose someone who is at the top of the industry and see if they have a program you can join.
